Play PS3 Madden 10, Intercept Your Foe’s Dollars

PS3 Madden 10's pulse-pounding, hard-rocking soundtrack is another element that gives the game an added kick. The past few years have seen the soundtracks becoming an integral facet of the games, and Madden is leading the pack. As a departure from other games, Madden 10 has decided to throw in some classics as well as current hits - and it will rock you. Get a load of these songs, and tell me you're not sold on the PS3 Madden 10 soundtrack: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth.

Looks like you need a visit back in time, to the embryonic days of sports video games, if you have your doubts about PS3 Madden 10. Maybe it's an obtuse comparison, lavishing platitudes on PS3 Madden 10, just because it blows every past video football game out of the water. After viewing the earliest football video games, however, you'll understand why PS3 Madden 10 is such an achievement. Obviously, football video games were on every gamer's wish list when the first console games were out there. Only thing was, video game consoles and cartridges didn't have the capabilities to match the needs of the typical hardcore gamer, so everyone had to take what they could get. To try to generate excitement, the creators of this one insisted it featured "all the excitement" of actual football. Competition was nonexistent, so this one was a huge hit for the biggest video game console in the day.

The football players look like blocky little robots. There's no getting around that one As crude-looking as that picture is, it's even worse when you see the game in action. This one, like all early games, suffered from the "blinking graphics" syndrome, due to low programming capacity. The sound effects were just brutal. No scrolling screen, either. Not long afterwards, the main competition developed a more advanced football video game for their console. It was yards better than that first one - people looked a bit more like people, the players no longer flickered, and gamers got their scrolling screen. Still needed work, though.

Yes, people were pretty stoked to see some improvements, but this wasn't the sports video game to put sports video games on top. That wouldn't come until several years down the line. This one was a big innovation for football video games, and has fans who still swear by it. For a long time, it was the gold standard by which football video games were held. Not hard to understand why that caught on - they were the first to really bring a more comprehensive simulation of football to the video game console. Football video games went to the next level with that one, due to the much needed upgrades. And given that they're making a new online version, there's still a following for it. That being said, PS3 Madden 10 still blows it away. When you've seen all the rest, now take a look at the best. We've come a long way, and you, along with football video games, have been the largest beneficiary. No need to keep bagging on the old stuff. You get it. The older football video games served a purpose, and set the stage for bigger, better sports video games. PS3 Madden 10 is in a whole different stratosphere than its predecessors, and for that, hardcore gamers have every reason to be stoked. Better yet, the reviewers share the same level of PS3 Madden 10 love as the fans, always a good thing. Anytime you read a PS3 Madden 10 review, you'll see things like "realistic and enjoyable." EA Sports has sacked all the competition with PS3 Madden 10, to nobody's surprise. Don't listen to the naysayers and the contrarians - there are few games as great as PS3 Madden 10. Sure, we love all PlayStation sports video games, but PS3 Madden 10 stands at the top, as one of the best. For many, this is the PlayStation football game by which all others are measured. And it's where they separate the men from the boys, by letting you duke it out for some serious cash. PlayStation Madden 10 maniacs have the opportunity to challenge each other for some serious cash. You'll be making touchdowns, and nabbing your foe's money, after you've educated yourself in all things Madden 10.
